Daybird is a calendar and to-do app. This page explains what it stores, what it reads from the services you connect, and who helps run it.

What Daybird stores

Your account: your name, email address and profile photo.

Your to-dos, lists, chats with Daybird, and preferences such as your time zone and view settings.

Copies of your calendar events, so the app opens quickly and works offline.

Services you connect

Google Calendar. Daybird reads the calendars you can see and changes events only when you ask it to, in the app or in a chat.

Gmail, if you connect it. Access is read only. When a question could use your mail, Daybird searches it and reads the sender, subject, date and Google’s short preview of up to five matching messages. It does not read full messages, keep your email, or send, delete or change anything.

Apple Reminders syncs through the Daybird iPhone app. Notion pages are available only if you share them with Daybird.

How Daybird AI uses your information

When you ask Daybird a question or open Today, the relevant events, to-dos, and any matching email previews or Notion pages are sent to AI providers to write the answer. Daybird uses Perplexity to answer and to write the Today briefing, TypeSafe to rank to-dos and suggest lists, and OpenAI to transcribe voice input.

Your information is used only to provide these features to you. It is not sold, not used for advertising, and not used by Daybird to train AI models.

Google user data

Daybird’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Who helps run Daybird

Clerk handles sign in. Convex stores your data. Vercel hosts the website. The AI providers above process requests as described. Each handles data only to provide its part of the service.

Removing your data

You can delete to-dos, events and chats in the app at any time. To remove Daybird’s access to Google, visit myaccount.google.com/connections. To delete your account and everything stored with it, email norgordjacob@gmail.com.
