Use Daybird from your AI agent
Connect Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or any MCP client to Daybird’s hosted MCP server, so your agent can read and update your calendar and to-dos.
1. Create a token
In the web app, open Settings and choose Agents. On iPhone, open Profile & settings and choose AI agents. Name the token after the agent that will use it, and turn off Allow changes if it should only read.
Copy the token when it appears. Daybird keeps only a fingerprint of it, so it cannot be shown again. Each token acts as you and nobody else, lasts 90 days, and stops working the moment you revoke it.
2. Connect your agent
Daybird’s server speaks MCP over Streamable HTTP at https://app.daybird.today/api/mcp. Send the token as a Bearer token.
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http daybird https://app.daybird.today/api/mcp \
--header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_TOKEN"Codex
Put the token in an environment variable, then add this to ~/.codex/config.toml.

bearer_token_env_var = "DAYBIRD_AGENT_TOKEN"Cursor and other clients
{
"mcpServers": {
"daybird": {
"url": "https://app.daybird.today/api/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_TOKEN"
}
}
}
}Daybird works out “today” in the time zone your phone or browser last reported. To use another, add an X-Daybird-Time-Zone header such as America/Phoenix.
The Claude and ChatGPT apps list connectors that sign in through the browser, which Daybird does not offer yet. Use a client that accepts a token header.
3. What your agent can do
- Calendar
- List upcoming events and search them; create, change, move, delete and complete events on any calendar you can write to; choose which calendars show.
- To-dos
- List and search to-dos; create, edit, complete, delete and schedule them on the calendar; review a batch of changes before applying it.
- Lists
- Create and rename lists, share one with an invite link, and stop sharing it.
- Today and chats
- Read today’s briefing, rewrite it when things have changed, and read, rename or delete past chats.
A read-only token is offered only the tools that read. Connecting accounts, signing in and device settings stay in the Daybird app.
